Thank you to our Corporate Volunteers!

A huge thank you to the amazing teams from AMP, Brookfield, and QBE Insurance who recently participated in our Corporate Volunteering Program.

Your support in packing books for our Book Bank initiative has helped ensure more children have access to brand-new, high-quality books that support both learning and a love of reading. Each book packed plays a part in transforming a school library and giving students the resources they deserve.

Volunteering with Dymocks Children’s Charities offers a unique opportunity for corporate teams to make a real difference — while connecting over a shared purpose: improving literacy outcomes for children across Australia.

It’s a hands-on way to give back, create impact, and help deliver the magic of books where they’re needed most.

Lit Club 4 Kids: A Big Month of Reading!

We had a wonderful turnout for our recent Q&A with Stuart Wilson, author of The 113th Assistant Librarian — our second book of the year! It was fantastic to see so many curious, passionate young readers eager to dive deeper into the story, ask thoughtful questions, and learn more about the writing process straight from the author himself.

It’s moments like these that remind us how powerful stories can be — sparking imagination, inspiring discussion, and building lifelong connections to reading.

Next up for July–September:
We’re thrilled to announce that our next Lit Club read is The Girl and The Ghost by our amazing Ambassador, Jacqueline Harvey! It’s a captivating story filled with friendship, mystery, and just the right amount of spooky fun — perfect for winter reading.

You can purchase the book or the Lit Club bundle via our website here and best of all, 100% of proceeds go directly to our literacy programs supporting children in need across Australia.

Happy Reading!

Gifts In Will

Having a valid Will is one of the most important steps you can take to protect the people and causes you care about—at every stage of life. That’s why Dymocks Children’s Charities has partnered with Gathered Here, Australia’s most trusted end-of-life services provider, to offer our supporters the ability to create their Will online and completely free of charge.

It takes less than 10 minutes to write your Will, and you’ll receive free, unlimited updates for life. Last year alone, over 15,000 Australians used Gathered Here to take this important step.

There’s absolutely no obligation to include a gift to Dymocks Children’s Charities—but if you choose to do so, your legacy will help provide books and literacy support to children who need it most. A gift in your Will could spark a lifelong love of reading and learning for generations to come.

School Spotlight

Thanks to the incredible and long-standing support of Rotary Club of Noble Park and Dingley, Dandenong West Primary School is now brimming with brand-new books for eager young students.

In a heartwarming display of community spirit, Rotary once again raised funds through their annual literacy fundraiser—now in its fourth successful year. Backed by more than 100 generous individuals and local businesses, their inspiring efforts were matched dollar for dollar by Dymocks Children’s Charities, doubling the impact for local schools.

This ongoing support from Rotary has helped transform school libraries across the region. This year, four schools benefited from a fresh supply of quality books, including Dandenong West Primary School, Noble Park English Language School, Heather Hill Primary School, and St John Vianney’s School, each one opening doors to imagination, learning, and opportunity

“Literacy is very important,” said Rotary Club of Noble-Park Dingley President Rex Carter. “This is something that we can do to help the kids out.”

We are deeply grateful to the Rotary Club of Noble Park and Dingley for their enduring commitment to Dymocks Children’s Charities and their dedication to supporting literacy in local communities. Their continued generosity is helping spark a lifelong love of reading in children who need it most.
